The centerpiece of this waterfront development is a 180m-long Floating Deck located within the waters of King’s Dock. The innovative structure is designed to minimise intrusion into the surrounding waters, with a series of floating modules connected at the joints to form a seamless concrete deck. This design allows the flexibility in movement of the deck, and the ability for off-site construction to minimise disruption to the surrounding natural environment.
The floating deck is designed to give residents a unique perspective of King’s Dock and enable them to better appreciate its historical role and significance. Additionally, the deck will also house a marine viewing area. This iconic hammock structure allows for the unfiltered observation of the world’s most diverse ecosystems — coral reefs, as well as a vibrant aquatic community. It will serve as a connection to nature, inspiring residents to care for and appreciate the marine biodiversity found right at their doorstep.
